I starting thinking this was just another book to read, but no – it isn´t. Sara Stridsbergs novel Dömfakulteten isn´t like anything else I have read, and I don´t think I´m able to say something short about it. Instead I will write a paper, which excerpts might find their way to this site every now and then …

Ιωάννινα
Our summer holiday started in Ioannina, Greece, where some of us participated at a seminar, while others just enjoyed the sun, the people and the delicious food.

Regentag auf Liebe Wellen
I truly enjoy working with yarn from the Opal Hundertwasser edition. Yarn inspired by art, funny, but it works. I have made a pair for myself in the Wartende Hauser (at: February 07, 2007), and now a pair for someone else in Regentag auf Liebe Wellen. I even got a third yarn waiting for me; Die Strasse zum Sozialismus. I mean – just trying to pronounce the names is a serious enterprise!

fritillaria & hellebourus
garden notes
I have been planning a new flowerbed in our garden. The plot faces east/south, there can be a bit windy from the east, but it shouldn’t be a problem. My flower combination is inspired from the Danish magazine Isabella.
But first I had to prepare the soil. And – I had to paint the wall behind the flowerbed. In our rebuilding process we seem to have totally overlooked the foundation wall…
And finally – the flowers
Hydrangea bluish/brown/purple in the back corner.
Surrounded by two peony plants (Sara Berhardt & Dr. Alexander Fleming)
Hellebourus, two whietes, one purple.
Autumn Anemones, different kinds pink to purple.
Alchemilla mollis.
I also put some Fritillaria meleagris in the ground.
And I planted seeds for two kinds of summer flowers, Indian Cress Black Velvet Tropaeolum majus & Black Peony Paeoniflorum .
